Snow Mountain (in Czech Sněžka) is the highest mountain in the Czech Republic. Its expansive summit (1.603 m above sea level) is located at the border with Poland. Thanks to its panoramatic views it is a popular destination among tourists. It is enjoyed by both, hiking enthusiasts and cyclists andin winter time is also a place for cross-country skiers. There are various trails here, probably the most beautiful trail is the one through Obří důl (Giant Mine) leading through the moorland in the upper part of the ascent. To reach the summit you can also take the cable way from Pec pod Sněžkou.
