Jicin
Jičín is a fairy-tale town and also a good starting point to discover this awesome area. This Valdstain's seat town has a beautiful square, which is uniquely in the Czech republic lined by arcades on all four sides. Take a stroll through linden alley to Valdstain's gazebo. Visit Rumcajs (popular Czech fairy-tale character) shoe-making shop and climb up the local tower to see the beautiful town and its surroundings. If you are traveling with your kids, make sure you go when the Jičín, fairy-tale town festival takes place. There are other popular places to visit around the city, such as the Prachov rock formation, Trosky ruins or a medieval castle Kost.
