The sprayed Lennon Wall is a place, where people go to pay homage to the legendary Beatle and world peace activist not only on the day he was shot (December 8). It all started after Lennon's death in 1980, when an unknown artist created a symbolic John Lennon tomb on the wall, where anti-communist messages had been written before. People spontaneously started to bring candles and flowers and write lines from his songs. Although after the fall of communism the free-thinking slogans have slightly lost their magic, even today the peace and love messages are written on the wall and this place is also popular among baskers.
