Thanks to silver mining Kutná Hora use to be one of the most important medieval towns. In the 13th century as much as one third of all Europe's silver was extracted there. Thanks to this lots of beautiful buildings were constructed here, which you can enjoy in the historic core even today. The most impressive of all buildings is Saint Barbara temple and a view of the temple from the old town across the picturesque green valley. Make sure you don't miss the Sedlec Bone Church, decorated full of bleached human bones and skulls.
