Pražský hrad
Prague Castle is the world's largest castle complex. It use to be the seat of Czech dukes, later kings and for a time it was the home of the Holy Roman Empire leaders. Today the Czech president resides there. Magnificent palaces, church buildings dominated by Saint Vitus Cathedral, as well as beautiful gardens are found in the castle complex. Saint Vitus Cathedral as well as the Golden Lane with colourful goldsmiths' and alchymists houses (one of them was the home to Franz Kafka once) or Vladislav Hall are the most visited sights. Vladislav Hall was probably the largest secular hall of that day, in which even knight tournaments were held. Knight rider steps designated for riders and their horses lead to this hall.
