The magical historic town in southern Bohemia boasts colourful little houses with facades full of Renaissance sgrafiti. The advantage of Slavonice is that they are far calmer than nearby Telč, where travel agencies bring hordes of foreign tourists. Climb up into the tower to enjoy the breathtaking views of the square and the surrounding green landscapes. The daring ones may choose to explore the Slavonice underground. However, you have to book a tour of these narrow dim spaces in advance and also you need to be a group.
