Vyhlídka Máj
One of the most beautiful natural attractions in the Czech Republic can be found near Prague, close to Teletín village in the Central Bohemian Region. Máj viewpoint is located on the high rocky promontory and offers an amazing view of the Vltava river which goes through the deep rocky canyon, forming a meander in the shape of a horseshoe. The impression you get here is doubbled if you choose to visit this place in the fall, when tree leaves on the river benches change into red, gold and orange hues.
Jak se tam dostat:You can get to the viewpoint on foot from Teletín village, where you can leave your car in one of the several parking lots. It takes 15 to 20 minutes (1 km roughly) to reach the viewpoint from the village via a field path.
Další informace:The viewpoint is a popular tourist spot, therefore, you had better visit this place on a work day. There are lots of tourists during weekends. Not far from Máj viewpoint there is another viewpoint of the same river meander, Maruška viewpoint, where you can also get a beautiful view, however, there are a lot fewer people.
