Marien Spa Town is a town of colonades, parks, gazebos and pavilions. The first spa house was built at the beginning of the 19 century in a mudy area, where around 100 springs are found. The heyday of the town was at the beginning of the 20 century, when the city saw lots of prominent guests, such as Edward VII., the King of England or Franz Joseph I., the Austria-Hungary emperor.
